The definitive guide to shiatsu massage chairs
 The Fujikura 2000 massage chair retails for this price and comes with an intelligent 4 roller system that conforms to the contour of your spine and a special neck massage function that directly targets stress relieving "tsubo points" on your neck. It also has other features such as 26 air bags - 20 of which are in the foot and calf massager - as well as arm massagers. The massage modes include: rolling, kneading, shiatsu results, compression and percussion, chop action and flapping. As an added bonus, the massage chair comes with a music therapy system and soothing soundwaves.
Fujikura is a Japanese company that makes the best shiatsu massage chair. buy one designed by a Japanese electronics company. The Sanyo HEC-SA5000K Massage Chair is the real deal and retails for around $4,300. It's a lot of money, I know, but you really are getting something that is in the top tier. It's a very stylish chair but more importantly, it comes with physical body shape detectors that will automatically adjust the massage rollers to your particular body shape to deliver a custom massage.

Dual-Use Air Ottoman System
Our Dual-Use Ottoman System allows for a more complete, contoured lower body massage:
- Calves/Shin
Kneading and loosening of the shins and calf muscles.
- Feet
Reposition your feet in the air wells for a soothing foot massage.
- Stretch System
Works to alleviate stiffness in your lower back, hips and thighs. How does it work? The air system in the ottoman squeezes the legs while it lowers and raises in 20 increments.
8 Basic Massage Modes
Using two or four firm rubber massage heads, the Panasonic Swede-Atsu® Wave massage chair accurately simulates stroking with the palm of hand, pressing with the heel of the hand, kneading with thumbs and pressure with thumbs. It also covers a total of 135 square inches - including the neck, shoulder and back. There are eight different massage modes in all:
Kneading
A gentle in-and-out motion using four massage heads. This function is especially effective on your neck and shoulders. Try both kneading modes for a different kneading pattern and sensation.
Rolling
Muscles are gently stretched as the massage heads move up and down along the back. When "regional" is selected the heads will move in a 4-inch range. When "full" is selected, the heads will move in a 27-inch range.
Tapping
Invigorating sensation of hands rapidly tapping on your back muscles. Try both tapping modes for a different rhythm.
Swedish
pressure, using four rollers to simulate the palms of hands.
Shiatsu
Strong deep-tissue pressure and stretching using two massage heads.
Compression
Firm rubbing motion across the back. Two modes are available.
Hawaiian
A gentle rubbing motion across the back.
Percussion
Deep-pressure massage that stimulates acupoints.
